What's up everybody. It's AJ with trailer.com Today we're gonna be checking out the tailor made marine gas strut for boat hatches. This is going to be a replacement part for that gas strut that you already have and it's worn out. We've all seen that before on the back of a vehicle. Maybe it's worn out if you've had it for a long time, the door just doesn't stay up anymore and it'll fall down when you go to get in there, it can be a pain. It doesn't help you get things out of there, or even on your RV.
You know, the basement door, sometimes they just wear out so when you go to get something, the door doesn't stand on its own so you gotta to use one hand, pull the door up while you're reaching in and grabbing something else and that's just a pain and the door can fall on you, so that's no good, same with the boat hatch. It won't stay open so this is going to be a replacement part that you put there instead of the old one, and that's going to make it like new again, where it keeps itself open again, and it doesn't slam down on you anymore. Now we can take a closer look at it here, and then we can go over some of the measurements of what it fits. It's going to have a 10 millimeter ball socket on there. You'll see that right there on both sides and then there's also an extended length it's going to be, and that's going to be from the center of the top socket to the bottom socket of 23 inches and then it's compressed length is going to be about 13 and one eighth's of an inch and then another thing to be very mindful of its compression force.
You don't want to get one that's too much for the door you're using. So this one's going to be 80 pounds. So with all in mind, you know that this one's going to be good for your boat hatch and make it like new again to where you don't have to hold the door with one hand while you're reaching in there and that's just all the bad stuff that comes with that. You can easily fix it with this part. Well, I think that about does it.
Thanks for hanging out and I hope this helps..
